Dully filled and original signed (online Form). The application must be signed on page 1, below the photo and on page 2. Please check which consulate you need to apply for a visa through. Under Information you have an overview which consulate is responsible for which federal state.
Original passport
Valid for at least six months beyond return date and at least 2 opposite free visa pages
2 visa photos
5x5 cm, in colour with white background (see photo criteria)
Invitation letter
On company letterhead, with stamp and signature. The letter must specify:
- Name of the applicant and passport details
- Purpose (business meeting or business discussions)
- the date of entry and departure and the desired visa validity (e. g. 1 year with multiple entries)
- Planned place of residence
The letter must be addressed to the respective consulate, see overview at the end.
Commercial register
From the company in India
Letter of introduction
From the German or Swiss employer on company letterhead in English, with stamp and signature. The letter must specify:
- Name of the applicant and passport details
- Purpose of the trip
- the date of entry and departure and the desired visa validity (e. g. 1 year with multiple entries)
- Detailed information on the applicant's activities on site (according to invitation)
- Complete address and telephone number of the Indian business partner
- Assumption of all costs incurred in connection with the trip

Residence permit
Any copy for Germany, as well as a copy of the confirmation of registration from a German registration office. For EU citizens, a copy of the confirmation of registration is sufficient.

Embassy of India, Berlin: Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia
Consulate General of India, Munich: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria
Consulate General of India, Hamburg: Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein
Consulate General of India, Frankfurt: Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland
