For 80 nationalities there is also the possibility for tourism and business to apply for an eVisa.

For the following citizens, the consulate must apply for the visa permit issued to the Ministry in Vietnam. This may take up to several weeks and there is no guarantee of approval:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Honduras, Iran, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkey and UAE. In addition, generally countries from Africa (except South Africa).
